A group of Aubuchon Hardware Store color+paint specialists joined forces with Aubuchon Hardware executives to form a colorful group of volunteer painters to assist Habitat for Humanity of North Central Massachusetts.

Aubuchon Hardware Volunteers

 AND……….

Adrianna, Dennis, Nikki, Jamie

The Rodrigez and Yang families had the unique opportunity to work one on one with Aubuchon Hardware’s Color & Project Expert Lucianna Samu. An initial color consult introduced the families to the Aubuchon Hardware Northeast Color Collection. 45 hand selected Benjamin Moore colors chosen especially for the Northeast region.

Local paint specialists and team leaders Heidie, Krystal, Dennis and John, then worked closely with the families to finalize the placement of no less than ten colors for each of the three bedroom Cape Cod style homes.

The all-volunteer team got busy.

Prep prep prep- those 3 all important words (and volunteers)

Stirring and mixing….

Rolling and brushing-go JIM !!

The Benjamin Moore paint products were a-plenty and made quick work of the high walls. Cary was the designated champion of hard to reach spaces.

Our work was made easy thanks to lots and lots of Aura paint.

And the ladies of Dover, Keene and Meredith added a special style to the color choices in the kids bedrooms.

It IS the Cats’ Meow!! (Benjamin Moore 1332)

Benjamin Moore’s Cats Meow

All of us at Aubuchon Hardware were proud to spend time in the Rodriguez and Yang family homes.

We’ll be waiting to get word on a move-in date from project coordinator Mike Mattson and Habitat’s Executive Director, Maggie Monroe-Cassel.

In the meantime, our fearless leader is leaving no floor un-swept.

Go Mr. Will Aubuchon

And the kids think the project turned out pretty swell!!!

Check back in a few weeks for updates and we’ll reveal the colorful exterior door colors and a few sneak peaks at the finished rooms.

Congratulations to our new Habitat family friends from all of us at Aubuchon Hardware!!

Stay Colorful!

A BABY !!!!!!

Lots to plan for and to do, and I’m excited to have a reason to get busy designing a full blown nursery. The plans are just underway, and I’ll keep you all informed on a color scheme and design ideas. Send me anything you’ve seen that would be fabulous for baby???? Right now it’s first…

Painting 6 different colored Adirondack Chairs in record time?

Loving my six greeny-yellowy-grassy-appley- not white, and no longer red, Adirondack chairs. There’s a reason these iconic chairs of summer are typically painted white-no doubt about it-they are one big fat pain in the neck to paint. 6 white chairs in a row is too much white in my summer scene. This combination, of varied…

Greenhouse envy, brought to us by Clem.

It’s lucky for me that the photo guy spends more time at the kitchen sink than I do. He fixes my coffee, he does the dish washing. This means that every morning, thanks to the photo guy, I can avoid looking longingly out the window above my kitchen sink at my neighbors greenhouse.   It’s…
